I really have no idea what on earth this is... They were found on a rock and scurried around at a pretty fast pace, there were more than one of them, and I post here, because I think it is more likely to be some sort of moth or butterfly larvae than anything else.. 
Any help would be very much appreciated! I could have a look again and try and get a better photo as well.

I'm not sure but it could be ladybird larvae? Maybe 24 spot? |

Not a 24-spot; this is the 24-spot larva: 
Though I have no idea what you do have there, sorry! The fact that it seems to only have 3 pairs of legs suggests to me that it is a beetle/bug larva as opposed to a butterfly/moth but others will no doubt correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, this is ladybird larva - but it's Scymnus sp. |
