| | | Caterpillar ID please Hi there everyone,
I'm new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help me identify this green with black spots caterpillar. I took the photo yesterday....
And less than 24 hours later it is now this...
It's attached to a low wall near to a lawn (with lots of clover )
Any idea what it could be?
Thanks for looking

| | | Re: Caterpillar ID please This is one of the burnet moths: probably one of the two common ones Six-spot Burnet or Narrow-bordered Five-spot. I've only seen one or two pupal cocoons (as in the last picture) so far this year.
PS. Welcome to WAB |

| | | Re: Caterpillar ID please Thank you very much.....
There's a few in my garden. This is the third one to cocoon and I've found another two caterpillars attatched to the wall...maybe they will cocoon too
I'll try and find some pictures of burnet moths now |
