Some caterpillars for ID please

I was walking in woodland nr Leith Hill in Surrey yesterday and found a signboard covered with hundreds of caterpillars and would appreciate some help with ID. The trees above the sign were oak and birch (the oak leaves were very eaten). I also saw the first sort of caterpillar (or virtually identical ones) on alder and hazel in the same area.

By far the commonest were these brownish loopers



I only saw one of this sort


Also I found these two stick like caterpillars on bushes at the side of a pond at Friday Street, Surrey
this one on sallow


and this one on hazel

For the 3rd one, see jeremiahs post on Periclista.....from your pic it seems to have too many pairs of prolegs for a moth or butterfly caterpillar...so this may be the link!
