| | | Wet larvae These were crawling among my flowerpots on the garden table. about 3-4 cms long.
Would they be sawflies?

| | | Re: Wet larvae Evening Hed, Sawfly was my first thought, too! I didn't know they were active at this time, but I suppose they over-winter as larvae and become active when temperature permits. I remember my surprise to see a couple of small caterpillars eating grass in the garden in late January earlier this year!
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Wet larvae Initially I thought fly larvae, but the bristles makes me think lepidoptera. Do you have any other photos?

| | | Re: Wet larvae Pretty sure they are lepidopteran (head capsule looks lepidopteran), but I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at the species!

| | | Re: Wet larvae I found one again today, showing head. Perhaps a micro-moth?
Also this rather nice one in the greenhouse: eating a dead leaf. about 1.5 cms long.

| | | Re: Wet larvae Been doing some searching and wonder if my green caterpillar is one of the bright moths? It is certainly a metallic colour and very distinctive.
