Question Caterpillar ID (with photo)
Evening all,

Found this little one under my recycling bin today - thought i'd bring him/her/it in and get an ID then ask for some advice regarding wintering.

Currently in the utlity room where cool, covered with some leaves and a stick or two in case he decides to do something.

I'm calling him Boris the Brown, don't ask me why - must be a male bonding thing.

Looks like a Large Yellow Underwing.

Many thanks Charlieb - had a look at UKMoths and found a photo of the moth and the caterpillar itself - identical match so you are backed up

He's gone from Boris the Brown to Yannick the Yellow (or at least he will be once he changes into a mighty moth)
