| | | Hairy brown caterpillar identification Hi everyone,
My husband found this caterpillar crawling around in the middle of the floor in his workplace. So he caught it and brought it home, as he thought it was a bit cold to leave it there.
It's about two centimetres long, and very hairy.
Would anyone be able to help me identify what kind of caterpillar this is, and give me some ideas of what to feed it? I'd also appreciate some general advice on how to look after it, or whether it would be better to let it go?
Thanks very much.

At least I have some photos to remember it by! |

They eat heather, some grasses, dock, dandelions and other weeds.
