Going through my list of unidentified items I found this image from last July. Near the S. Devon Coast Path. Probably around 12 to 15 mm but it was a long time ago and I didn't take notes.

Now to be honest, I can't remember if I asked this question previously but failed to update my files or meant to ask for an ID but never got around to it.

Either way; just put that down to age!

Thanks. I have seen Magpie moths in this area so it all makes sense now.

I don't remember seeing that answer before so this was probably the first time of asking. During the summer months my backlog of unidentified files gets overlong and some of the more difficult items (at least for me) tend to get overlooked, then I become confused!
