| | | Light green and yellow caterpillar with red on anal prolegs Stockgrove Country Park, Beds. On fence beneath Scots Pine.
Size = 13mm as extended in this image.
This was a very active and uncooperative cat. However it willingly climbed onto my finger to be repositioned (to be chased once again by my lens). He was a very sticky fellow with a velcro-like grip. The close-up insert on his prolegs show why.
Help with identification appreciated.

| | | Re: Light green and yellow caterpillar with red on anal prolegs Charlie and Lance - Thanks for your help with identification.
There is quite a large oak wood at Stockgrove although quite some distance away (300-400m) from where I photographed this caterpillar.
In fact there are few if any broadleaf trees within 100m or more - so I was wondering how it got to be where I found it? Any ideas?
