| | Help - can you idenitify this caterpillar please?
Can anyone identify this caterpillar please? We found it on the branch of a sycmore tree, but the leaves on the branch were dead, so we are not sure what it eats. We want to move it, but don't know the best place to put it. Any ideas what it is and what it might eat? Poor thing looks hungry!
It is just over an inch long and very beautiful. |

It is indeed the larva of a Sycamore moth. Pretty caterpillar but a rather drab moth.

| | Re: Help - can you idenitify this caterpillar please? Thanks so much everyone - we can now safely move it to another sycamore tree before we cut down the one it was on! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
