Strange Mass of Eggs

Hi

I am new to this forum so I hope that I am posting in the correct place.

I would be grateful if somebody could help to identify a large mass of eggs that appeared
overnight in our grass. I will attach an image if that is permitted.

Mmm. I somehow think this may be a type of fungi. One of the site experts I'm sure would know. ww

Yes its a type of fungi called Mucilago crustacea.

Should I post it under fungi?

It seem to be high of the ground and in small spherical portions within the cream coloured slime. So I though insect or mollusc eggs....
