Caterpillar for iD please (yellow furry)

Hi, I have just found and (by the time I came into the house, found my camera and went outside again) lost (!) a caterpillar I've never seen before. It seemed to have floated in on a thread of silk and was pretty small (about 2cm) and VERY speedy! It was pale yellow all over, with a 'saddle' of two round bumps and a black spot in between them. Otherwise, it was all pale yellow with very long but quite sparse 'hair' and a very large (comparatively) orange coloured 'spike' at the end of its tail. It was very good at manouvering in both forward and reverse and I have no idea where it is now! Any ideas please? Thank you for your time - great site!
