Identification of a caterpillar?
Hi there! I discovered this forum after a google search and wondered whether you would be able to help me identify this caterpillar? My mum took it in the garden, it was quite large- the size of a lighter. Thanks so much if you can help!

Had (a brown) one the other week that pupated but out came a dozen tachinid larvae
