Any ideas on this Beetle shaped bump on a Pussy Willow leaf........its' still there. Sods Law I'll miss the emergence

Quite likely a Pontania sp. (a sawfly) - what size was it? Was it evident on both sides of the leaf? What species of Salix was it on?

Was about 11mm, swollen on both sides, lots of them have appeared now.
don't know the exact species of Salix, it's the Dwarf Weeping Pussy Willow.probably 'Kilmarnock' if memory serves.

Yep.....Found it a few times on the web as Sawfly - Pontania bridgmanii..... same Gall.
