Help identifying larvae please

Can anyone help me to identify these larvae which I found yesterday on my wooden shed floor, underneath my tool box.

The larvae are in silken tunnels or tents which are between 5 and 10 cm long. These are not pupae/cocoons, the larvae are clearly moving around inside.

The larvae have brown heads. They also seem to be eating the wood - I removed a few of the tunnels, and the wood underneath had been gnawed away slightly.

I need to know what they are so that I know whether to remove them (if they're common pests that will damage the shed) or to leave them be (if they're uncommon or endangered).

Many thanks for your help. I'm sure that this is what they are. Seems I should protect the bees and remove the larvae!
