Unidentified pupa on Figwort


Anyone seen this one before ? It was the only one as far as I could see. Figwort weevil pupae look like seed pods in my experience, so I don't think that is it.

Thanks as ever charlieb, you are very good at this.
Not many other photos on the web as far as I can see, and most show these in aggregations rather than singles (as in Ladybirds of Surrey').

Koleopterologie.de - Kaeferverzeichnis - AG Rh. Koleopterologen usually has good photos of the various life-stages (but not in this case!); Bioimages has some: Chilocorus renipustulatus (Scriba, 1791) (Kidney-spot Ladybird)
