| | | Grey caterpillar with black head There are loads of little grey caterpillars on a plant just outside my front door. They are quite thin, up to about an inch long and have black heads. They do not seem to be furry/hairy.
Can anyone figure out from that description what they are please?!
Afraid I don't even know what type of plant it is they're on, but they have totally decimated it!
My housemates and I are keen to follow their progress and see what they turn in to!
Thanks. |

| | | Re: Grey caterpillar with black head Just to restart this thread. I have a shrub which is infested with small grey caterpillars or larvae but I don't know what they are. They match the description above, small thin and no more than an inch long (at the moment). Is anybody able to identify them?
Pictures attached.
Many thanks |

| | | Re: Grey caterpillar with black head Yes, many thanks.
I Googled for some pics of an adult fly and I now remember seeing quite a few around the plant several weeks ago.
Once again, many thanks for your help. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
