Identification help please!
hello!

Please can you help me identify this caterpillar which is currently munching it's way through a potted willow? The picture isn't too clear but any ideas would be a great help!

It looks like the caterpillar of a Vapourer moth

No, it shouldn't be a problem - it looks to have done most of it's eating and it'll probably disappear soon to pupate and change into a moth; have a read of UKMoths - The Vapourer Orgyia antiqua

Be cautious if you try to pick it up or move it, the hairs might be slightly irritant.
