A Mottled Umber, Erannis defoliaria. There's a lot about this year, they certainly live up to their name - there's a wood nearby of mainly sycamore and every leaf from top to bottom has been stripped. |

Looks like our trees are getting off quite lightly so far then. There were a few of these about but no stripped trees (as yet) not even the sycamores.
