| | | Dragonfly Larvae Help! Hi all,
I have found a small dragonfly larvae that i have identified as a darter but it had very prominent dorso lateral bands running the length of its abdomen. Sorry i haven't got a picture but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I am up on the East side of Loch Lomond so there arean't so many possibilities. Would it be possible that is was a White Faced Darter as that would be a new record for the site?
Cheers,
Ben |

Hammond - Mid dorsal spines on segments 4-6. Lateral spines 8 & 9. Ventral surfaces marked with distincive bands (wider band down the center from segment 5 to 9 wich also has two clear dots. And a narrower band either side from segment 2-9.)
There may well be an image of this stage on the BDS site. |
