Yellow egg mass ID please

Hi , don't know if it's possible but does someone know what these belong to? Bright yellow large mass approx 4inches long, in woodland on a tree stump in full view/light. Thanks.

Just might be a slime mould, if it is it will change overnight so if possible to
revist tommorow for a follow up image would certainly be interesting.

Thanks JP, unfortunately the photo was taken last weekend and I won't be able to visit it again before next weekend .... but will certainly try. Funny you should suggest that coz when I first saw it from a distance I thought it was a fungi, but not knowing slimemould, I assumed it to be eggs once I saw all the 'blobs'. cheers everyone, I'll let you know if I can get back to it.. it was in Margam woodland, near Bridgend if anyone's passing!
