My nieghbour found this in his garden and we have no clue what it is , any help? 
Its pretty viscious and if touched by somthing will go for it with its horn thing .

It is the larva of some sort of Hawk-moth - it is harmless |

Looks like a pupating eyed hawk moth caterpillar, place it on the soil in your garden and it should bury itself!

BTW I was basing this on the blue tail and the yellow 'ring' around the head.

Thanks for the hasty reply , apprently they like tomato plants whitch would explain why there over my nieghbours . |
