| | | Butterfly and Ladybird Eggs Can anyone please explain the difference between small cabbage white butterfly eggs and ladybird eggs. I understand they are similar in size and colour, but I still need help to tell them apart.

| | | re: Butterfly and Ladybird Eggs The Small White lays eggs singly on the underside of crucifer leaves, such as Brassica; ladybird eggs are laid in batches.
The butterfly eggs, though a similar shape, are ridged, though you'd need a good lens to see that! |

| | | re: Butterfly and Ladybird Eggs As far as im aware Green veined and small white eggs are a green/white colour. Large white eggs are yellow and usually laid in compact clusters not spread out like in this photo. Although they do look the same. |

| | | re: Butterfly and Ladybird Eggs I've just manually removed single paler eggs, and yellow/orange eggs in clusters from under the leaves of my broccoli plants. Hope they were all white butterfly eggs. I could just about make out ridges though |
