Eggs found can anyone identify!?

We usually hoover behind the sofa every month, and we've just gone to do it, and came across quite a large amount of what appear to be hatched eggs.

Can anyone identify them for me?

they look like hatched pupa to me
but i know nothing on mini beasts

They look like empty ant pupal cases but you would have noticed an ant colony?

I say ants too. The colony will be under the floor somewhere in the skirting etc. Lots of them earlier this year. Have you seen ants in the house?

Thanks all, yep, we have ants just the other side of that wall every year - I can't believe I didn't think of that initially!

I haven't noticed any yet this year, but I knid of makes sense I guess.
