| | | Can anyone please help ID these caterpillars? Hi all.
A volunteer brought these caterpillars into the Visitor Centre the other day, and we've been racking our brains trying to find out exactly what they are. We really just need confirmation. Any help would be much appreciated. |

I think 1 + 3 are Gothic Moth - Naenia typica and 2 is an Angle Shades - Phlogophora meticulosa.

We were actually wondering if the third picture was a large yellow underwing (I believe that pictures 1 and 3 are of different caterpillars, not the same species). Does that sound likely? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
