| | | Re: Grond beetle(larvae) Nice picture and, yes, fearsome jaws. My inclination would be to a rove beetle (Staphylinidae) but I'm not really into larvae. The size of those mandibles suggest one of the Staphylinus species. |

| | | Re: Grond beetle(larvae) Yes looks like Staphylinidae, although could be a Carabid. Have you got a photo of its rear end? The rear is often a good way of IDing larvae especially diptera, but also coleoptera. |
