found chrysalis in house...any ideas?

These are the wrong shape for Potter wasp (Eumenes coarctatus), and wrong location.

My suspicion is that they are made by a Spider-hunting wasp (Pompilidae). Some species make mud cells within which a paralysed spider and egg is laid.

I put the coccoons outside and sheltered them a little. Hope they'll be OK...but stay out of my house next time!!
