Green Caterpillar

Found this green caterpillar outside today on the window frame. It's a fat caterpillar that's bright Green, about an inch long, maybe slightly over. It also has a dark Green stripe along it's back and is quite chunky. It had somehow managed to get tangled up in spider webs and was very lucky as the outside spiders are slowing down in the cooler weather, otherwise normally it would have been curtains. Anyway I've rescued it and have it in a bucket. It's very lethargic, could it be getting ready to pupate ? I know some hibernate as pupae.

Thank you for that. I'd been googling for what seemed like an eternity and come up with nothing. I must have missed that one, it does look like it so I guess it's an Angle shades moth. I will return it to the garden, at the bottom amongst the nettles and other wild flowers. I read they eat at night and funnily enough it's now begining to come round so I will return it to it's humble abode at once.
