 Unsure which species this is, certain its not a garden tiger. Seem's to be quite afew around at the moment. Found this one in a woodland meadow.
Possibly another Arctiinae Species?

Hello, it looks rather like the Feathered Footman Spiris striata, the final instar can have a red or an yellow/orange stripe. |

from memory i think white ermine has the red stripe down the back.
just had a look on English Common Names and it does look like it.
