Possible larvae? Photo Coming

I was browsing the net trying to ID a strange looking insect which is on the wall In my Living room. Maybe someone will know what it is? I am going to take a photo but i will warn you first: My camera is not a very good one.

Anyway, i looked through the Gallery and have not found anything in there. It looks a little similar to a ladybird larvae but it definitely is not that

It is very small and hard to pick out details, as far as i can see it has 6 legs, its has a large back half which it drags along behind it so to speak. At the end of this back part there is something which it raises when i attempt to touch it.

It is yellow in appearance and has brown spikey hairs all over and a brown head. I was always interested in insects as a child and used to go hunting for them, though i never came across one like this. Image coming i hope

Sounds very much like a beetle larva. Bring on the photo.

Maybe a Carpet Beetle larva?

Yes i think it is some kind of carpet beetle larva

well one year later and i have had an infestation of larder/bacon beetles!! found 3 or 4 adult beetles, No idea what they have been eating i can only think it must be hair! (my ex girlfriend tended to malt and there is a fair amount of her hair about)

Sounds about right. The larvae of this family are often referred to as Woolly Bears. Quite apt really.

What was she..a dog.
