| | caterpillar id please? We found a caterpillar on a rhubarb leaf, it's bright green with yellow/white stripes down the length of it's body (one either side and one down the middle of it's back), 3 pairs of legs at the front, 4 pairs of suckers at the back with another 2 on it's rear end, it's about 2cm in length. Any ideas please? I've searched the internet and can't find anything. |

| | | Re: caterpillar id please? Just supply it with a fresh supply of the leaves you found it feeding on, keep it in the shade, away from loads of rain, pretty simple, keep its food fresh. |

What I do is use a plastic tub (margarine or icecream will do) with kitchen towel in the bottom.Change the food & clean the tub every day.

| | Re: caterpillar id please? We have put it in a container my daughter got with a butterfly kit, it's a cube with clear plastic on 2 sides and the rest are mesh. We've put a couple of leaves in there and it's hiding in between.
This might seem like a silly question but is it best to keep it indoors or outside? and should I spray it with water? |

| | | Re: caterpillar id please? I would say keep it outside in a shed if you have one. Spraying it with water won't hurt, but don't drench it. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
