| | | Spot the caterpillar
Hi Folks
We were going for a walk this evening when I spotted a black caterpillar climbing up a blade of grass. Assuming this was the only one I tried to get a picture 
Upon getting my photo (which I have uploaded to the Gallery  ) I then carried on a bit futher to be greeted by this sight 
Can anybody else spot a caterpillar????  (1 point per caterpillar ) |

Definately a minimum 13, maybe 18?
@Henrya, there are some in the foreground that are not imediately obvious |

I can see 17. Think they might be Peacock caterpillars.

Well done on your guesses there was one or two
This was only part of the area which was full of these caterpillars. I am looking forward to chasing around trying to get a photo of them when they become butterflies
And WW is quite correct they are peacock caterpillars  |

lol i did exactly the same thing about a week ago with peacock caterpillers. I saw one spent ages waiting for it to move to the right postion then walked 3/4m and there was a bank of nettles with 30+ of them! |
