| | | Underwater caterpillars!?!? ID please! Hi, hoping you can help with this one please.
In my pond there are what appear to be underwater caterpillars, it sounds strange I know, but it gets stranger! They apparantly cling onto the surface film of the water with a long tail, there are tell-tale signs of them being there by the tiny dips on the surface of the water. I don't know whether they're tubes to breathe from or not but its certainly interesting!
I was hoping for some ID so I know if they're larvae of some kind that may turn into something interesting and if its worth waiting around for! Sorry I couldn't get any pics, thanks to anyone for suggestions! |
