| | | Re: Caterpillar ID please? So if this is a Drinker Moth Euthrix potatoria they are a common species in the southern part of the U.K. but as I am in Blyth, Northumberland I would guess its rather a rarer species for my region?
Does anyone know if they are protected at all? The land this was found on is due to be built on soon. |

Sorry I don't know if it is protected or not. |

| | | Re: Caterpillar ID please? no its quite a common species not protected, there are plenty here in north yorkshire which is fairly northern. Its an impressive caterpillar although the adult is quite bland. |
