| | | Moth eggs? I saw these this evening on the Million Bells. The actual flower measures 3.5cm in diameter. Is it possible they are moth egg as I saw a moth on this plant last night, not actually laying the eggs though. The photos I took of the moth came out all fuzzy, goodness knows what I did. |

| | | Re: Moth eggs? Moths don't usually lay on petals because flowers have a tendency to die and drop off before the eggs hatch although....... (its not unheard of in captivity where some moths will lay on virtually anything if needs must). |

| | | Re: Moth eggs? Thanks Action-Man and Lance, I thought it was strange to see eggs on petals and in such an exposed position to the elements. Any idea how long before they hatch? |

| | | Re: Moth eggs? I thought I would give an update on the eggs. Three days ago they turned from white to a greyish purple. Today there is a bit more change and one of the eggs look deflated now. I hope they hurry up and hatch and the particular flower they are on is fading fast. |

| | | Re: Moth eggs? Sorry if this is getting boring - but it's almost over
The photo I posted earlier was taken at 12.51, I took this at 19.19 and what a difference.
The Larvae were wriggling all over the place, luckily I decided to have another look. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
