| | | Re: Eggs? had a google of gorse as a larval food plant, there are a couple of possibles - Double-striped Pug and Agonopterix nervosa, both moths which use gorse as a larval food plant. not sure whether this helps or not, hope so. keep an eye on them and send some pics of what hatches!

| | | Re: Eggs? They could also be eggs of the gorse shieldbug (Piezodorus lituratus). There's a picture of an almost identical double row on plate 14 of Roger Hawkins' Shieldbugs of Surrey. |

| | | Re: Eggs? Yes, I'd go for a true bug - Hemiptera: Heteroptera; they lay their eggs in neat pattersn like this. If it's on gorse then it is quite likely to be a gorse bug! The only way to find out is to hatch some of them out ....
