Best UK Sunshine Months, Last 5 years

I have tried the various weather websites but cannot find a site that will tell me "at a glance" which are the best sunshine months here in the UK for the past 5 years (2004-2010).
This will help me plan my flower planting and bird feeding to best effect, if there is a percievable trend.

Is it really sunshine records that you need, not just warmth? Most sunshine records are kept only by the automatic weather stations and some amateurs as well. Finding somewhere with such records near enough to you to help, might be difficult.

There is an EU website that I think is for predicting PV solar panel performance which might have the type of information that you are after (or some of it):
