| | | Or not, as the case may be Forests are getting denser, with more and bigger trees. This will result in increased CO2 take up. YIPPEE! WE ARE UNDOOMED!
I do wish those by-our-lady scientists would make their by-our-lady minds up.

| | | Re: Or not, as the case may be I have a feeling that the “undoomed” dogma will be coming from the denier’s camp. It’s always been accepted that plants and trees work harder when there is more CO2, however they can’t compensate for the sheer amount of trees that are being/have been cut down. This is why we have seen a massive increase in greenhouse gasses over the last 100 years or so, not because we as humans add loads, but because we cripple how the planet recycles these gasses. The planet simply can’t cope with this level of gasses anymore.
The “doomed” camp will have us believe the world will end, when in fact its more likely life will become extremely difficult for us all. To what level of difficulty…..I don’t think anyone knows for sure. |

Jim | We are indeed doomed. With more and bigger trees, more people will buy more and bigger chainsaws, leading to more chainsaw massacres.
