Oh I don't know, once our resources decline I'm sure Western cultures will collapse quite dramatically & quickly.

I wasn't very clear there. I include myself with the poor of the world . 'Western culture' may collapse but the rich and powerful people running it will not ....

Different species have been "to-ing and fro-ing" for millions of years,Cranes used to breed here a few hundred years back, as they still do in most of Europe,(they are not African Cranes by the way,they are Eurasian Cranes),it's nothing new.It was warmer 2000 years ago than it is now,Alpine glaciers were smaller,who caused that?,The climate is constantly changing,always has,always will.An Ice Age could end in as little as 50 to 100 years !,now that's climate change !.
But yes you could all be right,it could be as bad as when we were told to worry about the Y2K Bug,Bird Flu,SARS,the Ice Age that was coming in the 1970's..........................yeah,the evidence for all that lot was "overwhelming" as well was'nt it !
