Suing the Oil Companes for Bad Weather??

Actually Pauline, I got your drift after I'd posted but couldn't work out how to edit my post once it was up. Is there an explanation of how to edit on WAB somewhere?

If you look down the bottom (right?) of your post - when you have actually posted and submitted it - you will see an edit key - if memory serves this edit facility lasts for 15 mins after a post has been posted - so you can open and correct typos or add soemthing else like a PS - which is exactly what I have just done - once you have edited added what you want it then asks you to save and after that reposts it with the additions corrections etc.........

Once this time has passed - if you feel you want to add more then hit the quote button and it will put your reply (like this is going to appear with yours at the top when I send it) then you can simply say 'sorry I forgot to add' or 'further to the above' or 'losing it forgot to say such and such'

I don't have the excuse of losing it, not yet. Only my hair - that has mostly gone and I'm only 35.

The oil companies could react in two ways, stop production and watch the world starve or they could call in these people...

The deal is, you can not conclusively say that it is the oil companies that started these floods. You can get scientists for both sides that would argue the point. Climate change is a touchy subject, and there is no worldwide consensus on it other than the fact the climate does change.

I know it wouldn't happen or if it did they wouldn't win but I would love to see a class action suit against the energy industry as a whole on behalf of poor countries that are currently the worst affected.

Of course once the energy companies started reeling off the list of things we in the rich west would have to do without if they change their operations I doubt it would find much support.
