Get rich quick-global warming.

Hi Dave,

Global warming has been documented by scientists for the last 20 years - it is only the actions of influential climate change naysayers (all of whom have a common and vested interest in the oil industry) that have suppressed its appearance on the political agenda for so long!

This, to my mind, is the only 'scam' associated with global warming.

Now that there is (at last) wider concern by world leaders and members of the public regarding climate change, of course businesses will respond to this. The market simply has not been there until now. How is this a bad thing and how is it a scam???

For all the arguments from both sides of this debate and diatribe directed at each other throughout the dabate - the post form StuartDH has finally given me faith in humans again.

I get that some times, but that is part of starting something that you don't fully understand. What sadens me most is that some of the articals you have read, either in the past or recently, has managed to covince you that climate change is not real. I wonder how many other people have also be fooled. Most of the pages you get on Google are made up of listings that contain only one of the words you have entered, say for example 'climate', there are so many texts that contain that one word alone. So your comparisons are false. I have in the past learnt a bit about the chemical chain reactions that can only lead to global warming speeding up on its own accord, but only if humans continue to fuel the furnace. Once we get to the point of no return the earth will release its hidden methane and co2 supplies (bottom of the ocean and dead frozen carcases) which will in turn warm up the earth even further. We will not be able to stop this. We will be doomed. Also, you have mentioned that the earth has warmed and cooled in the past many times. Do you know why? Well in some cases it has been due to Metiors, super volcanoes (Yellowstone national park has one) and the suns intencity to name a few. A bit catastrophic if you ask me, that would have wiped us out alone.
