Just to put this to sleeeep. The Government ignored it and never read it. Now they want to put the sigs to 200,000 or more for ALL petitions. The Lazy, Greedy Fubbers..

Hi Dennis
Thanks for the update. I'm always sceptical of online petitions but I signed this one as being most worthy. It seems that the method of petitioning online is most convenient and to many, including me, it saves time writing to ones MP.
I wonder why it was ignored? Are online petitions credible? More credible than a letter with an address and signature?
We have a tremendous Coastguard organisation around our shores (even on Windermere), many members being volunteers. Our local Walney station had their small inflatable taken from them due to funding cuts - can you believe it?
They need all the help they can get. Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I'm sorry it didn't work out. | | | |
