| | | Radley Lakes - can you take a second to vote? I’ve been following a campaign by locals near Didcot to save the beautiful Thrupp Lake, an area stuffed with amazing wildlife.
N Power is trying fill in the lake with waste ash (use it as a giant dustbin basically) despite massive local opposition, and this morning I had an email from the Save Radley Lakes coordinator alerting my attention to a newspaper poll where people could ask N Power to halt their works till a proper investigation has been carried out.
It’ll only take a minute of your time to click Yes. So please please click on the link and look at the right hand of the page for the poll. Then click Yes. And do forward the link if you can!

Dear Friend,
There is a poll about the lakes under ‘Editor’s choice at Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Wallingford news, sport and leisure from the Herald newspaper .
Please make your opinion known. This poll started badly with 2 people voting 'No'. So far only 9 people have voted, so it's still not looking too good.
Please forward this request to all your friends.
Many sincere thanks!

Can you please advise the link URL? I use a Mac with Safari as my browser and for some reason your YES link will not work.
Thanks |

| | | Re: Radley Lakes - can you take a second to vote? Hi, sharky. The poll's now close due to the cheating so and so's at/supporting npower. From the newspaper: Update: Hundreds urge firm to stop lakes work
MORE than 700 people cast a vote in an online poll on our website urging RWE npower's to halt work at Radley Lakes until the result of a town green public inquiry is known.
The poll was running more than four-to-one in favour of npower halting work until a surge of votes from one IP address registering the opposite view this afternoon.
As a result, the voting is now closed.
It looks as though there's a date in April for the next enquiry. |

| | | Re: Radley Lakes - can you take a second to vote? Did it really matter than someone with the same IP voted a lot of times, just take out them votes! It's just a way for N Power to get there own way.
Oh, and I'm really sorry I missed the thread and didn't vote.
