Shooting at any time, but especially during breeding is not acceptable, I dont care what fishermen think - go and fish in Iceland waters.
Cheers
Ken

| | | Re: Stop the shooting of seals in Scotland Morning CN,
You may be interested in this thread - Stop the Shooting of Seals - though you may have already read it.
Anyway, I have duly signed this one too. When you fill in your name and contact details, you will be transferred to the pre-written albeit editable email that will get sent to each of the names shown. I think we should re-write the first one-line box on this second page which I assume is the subject line, into our own words so when they receive the message it won't look like they are all from the same source...
Take care, Jason

| | | Re: Stop the shooting of seals in Scotland Hi all, I believe this is the same petition which valleyforge posted here on WAB in Sept '09 - Bonnie's Tale - a short animation in support of seals.
The deadline is fast approaching - the new Marine Bill will be considered by the Scottish Parliament on 4th February - which is why we’re all receiving their latest emails to sign the petition if we haven't already done so. |

| | | Re: Stop the shooting of seals in Scotland There was a piece on Countryfile a few months back on this issue, where the fishfarms were saying they needed to protect their livelyhood, which is fair enough. The problem was at least one of the new farms was built right next to a seal colony/haul out area, which is dumb enough in itself but it was also being used by a seal tour boat who had seen a massive decline in seals, which is sure to effect his lively hood! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
