Why do they need to skin animals alive - why can't they kill them first?

| | | Re: Animals skinned alive This must be among the most barbaric videos I have seen, I am not easily shocked and must confess to being aware of the Chinese fur trade being less than humane but even I didn't realise that they were so depraved. It was one of the areas the Chinese tried so hard to hide from visitors during the Beiging olympics, I now see why !!! I have signed the pettition and am now going to forward a link to as many of my friends as possible in the vain hope that something can be done to put a stop to this evil.

Pauline | This is a quote from the opening page Pauline '' Because'' say the Chinese: It's easier to skin a live warm animal that's convulsing in agony than a dead body'' end of quote
There you have it, gruesome as it is.

Dave P. | Of all the countries on the planet, if you consider that China executes more people than anyone else, has no qualms about arresting and torturing their own citizens and completely ignores any critism from the rest of the world then the chances of them caring about the welfare of any animal or any complaints about it must be very slim
The only way to stop this is to stop the fir trade as even the chinese wouldn't do it if there wasn't a market |

When will these oeoeoeoeoe
in the fashion industry realise or even care what happens to these animals when will there be an end to these barbaric acts..
The fur trade seemed to die out in the 70s then it came back with a vengeance..
How someone can strip a living creature of its skin I will never know then say its easier or we live in poverty it just don't comprend..
Nothing deserves that..

| | | Re: Animals skinned alive I totally agree Victor. The trouble is that it leaves the people who really care about these things relatively powerless. How do you boycott something that you would never dream of buying anyway? We could try boycotting ALL Chinese products but that won't be as easy as it sounds - there are Chinese components in almost every electronic appliance you can possibly buy, whatever the country of origin listed on the packaging might be. I bet my Nikon D300 has Chinese components in it.

P.s. I bottled out of watching it too.
