| | | Anyone know of a petition to reinstate set aside land? Would be nice to know if anyone had started one of these. I heard the other day that the government were considering reintroducing it at the rate of 5%. It might be the ideal time to push the issue? |

I think that you need to research the set-aside thing a bit more fully, it is very complex and I am slightly out of the loop on this right now (8 months away from it leaves you quite lost). Set-aside has been changed, and the rules change, a great deal. Don't want to seem to be a wet blanket, but an unfocussed petition won't help. I don't think anyone knows what will happen with set-aside next.
I don't think think that you will get much sense out of this if you don't know what the history of set-aside is, and how it is being used. Do some research. This is a historic (2005/6) thing from DEFRA that might help.
