| | | Great Spotted Woodpecker Survey Fellow BTO Garden Birdwatchers will no doubt already know this, but I thought it might be good to flag up for anyone who's interested, that The BTO are currently running a Great Spotted Woodpecker survey - so, if like me, you are lucky enough to have GSWs visiting your garden - they'd love to hear from you! http://www.bto.org/gbw/GRSWO/index.htm
Cheers,

| | | Re: Great Spotted Woodpecker Survey Thanks all! Great stuff about the extra sightings now added to the survey! I heard the BTO on the radio (Shared Earth programme on Radio 4) saying that they'd had a good response since the survey launch - but would love to have even more; so all our sightings will really add to the data they get. We've had a fab GSW year this year - an adult pair visiting for months now - and some juveniles in June.
That's a shame about your lack of woodies this year, nightshade...great to hear the Yaffle though! |

A GSW visits my next-door neighbour's garden, but apparently can't fly over the fence! And I do put the same kind of food out! |

Raff | Hey, I thought they were supposed to be getting rare!
The sparrow is another species that has difficulty flying over the fence from next door, in spite of the food in my bird restaurant! | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
