UK Leatherback Turtles - Jellyfish Survey

I've just received an email update that includes the news that the Marine Conservation Society is asking for volunteers to record the jellyfish they see on UK beaches or at sea. It's all in an effort to understand the ecology of Britain's critically endangered leatherback turtles.

Sounds like a good way to spend some seaside time, for anyone who will be a regular beach visitor this summer....

Have requested forms for this Willow. Saw jellyfish a few weeks ago and it's good to help out on the surveys.Well done for bringing it to our attention.ww

Interesting. I have just come back from a short break and there were lots of jellyfish there, some really nasty looking ones - unfortunately, not so easy to photograph.

I will fill in this survey form.

That's great Wild Woman and Jenny! Good to know that our wildlife sightings can help out in this way, isn't it... I'll be on the look out for jellyfish whilst we're in Northumberland in a couple of weeks' time....we usually see loads on the beaches there.
