| | | 26th July Colwyn Bay Welsh Badger Cull Anyone in the area, or able to travel to this demonstration against the proposed cull of badgers in Wales. Please join the demonstration organised by North Wales Animal Rights in Colwyn Bay on Saturday 26th July at 2pm outside the main Welsh Assembly Office at Princes Park, Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay, North Wales, LL29 8PL. There will also be gathering on the promenade at around 3pm for a prayer by the Rev James Thompson.
The Welsh Assembly is to continue planning this cruel and unnecessary cull. Viva! - Vegetarians International Voice for Animals |

With the badgers, I think that Plaid Cymru thought it would be a rural vote winner in Wales. They "whipped" their AMs to vote pro-cull. Generally the farmers most obsessed by getting rid of badgers seem to be those keenest on fox hunting - eg Countryside Alliance types. Fewer foxes about (all gone to gardens where nice people feed them) well get rid of badgers next. The obvious argument, that a cull won't work, would at the very best cause a minor benefit, and is going to cause massive trouble (yes, it will in the area chosen who is going to want to live in it for years of this horror) falls on deaf ears. |

That seems ridiculous as we send 100's of lambs to be killed and no one seems to be rushing away !! |

I presume he doesn't want beef cows in the country.
I think it would be sad if we had no livestock farming in the country. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
