Fordhall Farm is an organic farm in Shropshire that is selling shares in their land to stop the farm from being sold off - http://www.fordhallfarm.com The aim is to keep the farm out of private ownership and use it for environmental, educational and community benefit.

After 65 years of organic farming, the future of Ford Hall Farm is currently under threat from sprawling industry and development. However, the Forhall farm community initiative aims to ensure the farm is managed organically and sustainably, with appropriate managment for wildlife and biodiversity, and to provide an educational and social resource.

An excellent project to get involved in, and just down the road from me!!
It really is a people power project and many, many people have become involved. They contacted our wildlife centre a while back and we put them in touch with a well renowned local ornithologist to help identify the bird life on the farm.
I can't wait to go there when I get some spare time, they also do live on site volunteer holidays too!!
