Come on Bill take up the challenge | hunterswind, you've made this point at least 4 times throughout the thread. Can we now try to keep the thread to its original topic? Feel free to start another thread if there are any other TV presenters you'd like to challenge

| | | Re: RSPCA Campaign Against Badger Cull petition There is still no firm evidence that it will make much difference. Even the huge government commissioned trial concluded that "badger culling can make no meaningful contribution to cattle TB control in Britain" and they had to kill almost 11,000 badgers to find that out.
I can't understand why it's still even being discussed.
I have signed both petitions and I have passed it on to other concerned friends. I have also posted the links on some other message boards. |

back on the subject of the thread petition signed, since the science says the cull wont work, even if badgers are a significant vector (most research shows this isnt the case). Better efforts to seperate the badgers from the cattle and the feed is the answer |

| | | Re: RSPCA Campaign Against Badger Cull petition i have just signed the petition.
if we are to cull badgers due to btb then we must also cull birds as they can carry bird flu.
everything carries something that can harm something else, killing is not the answer. if the government spent as much on finding cures for illnesses as it does on finding better ways to kill things, then, i for one would be a much happier person.

| | | Re: RSPCA Campaign Against Badger Cull petition i've never seen a badger but i still signed it why should we slaughter hundreds or so animals because of some probably unproven scientific evidence
(correct me if im wrong)
if a person has a cold we don't kill lots of people to stop it spreading
